Tried & Tested: LAQA & Co Cheeky Lip Pencils

So I’ve put this post down as a tried and tested but it could just as easily be listed under favourite things because that’s what the LAQA & Co Cheeky Lip Pencils are.
After getting a full sized version of their Cray Cray colour through Birchbox at least a year if not longer ago and finding it the perfect colour for my cheeks (though not my lips), I went to order another as soon as it was done.  Unfortunately, the individual product wasn’t in stock so I had to order the trio.   Continue reading “Tried & Tested: LAQA & Co Cheeky Lip Pencils”

Favourite things #5: Benefit beauty products

favourite things
So I had a bit of a panic this morning.  I realised I was out of one of my favourite products – Dew The Hoola Liquid Bronzer. Panic ensued.  My day, I thought, was ruined – in fact, the next three days as that’s how long it will take for me newly ordered bottle to arrive.  Thankfully, I then remembered a sample size of the bronzing powder that would see me through.  Calm was restored.  My day would be o.k.
It made me think, though, just how much I rely on certain products and how many of them are made by Benefit.  Time, I thought, for a favourite things post – something I haven’t done in a while – and a bit of a love “letter” to a favourite brand.   Continue reading “Favourite things #5: Benefit beauty products”

Favourite things #4: The Christmas Edition

christmas-card-2999091_1280.pngChristmas is my favourite time of year (even after realising this week I had forgotten to write my Christmas cards!).  I love everything about it – bar the shopping – and always have.  There is something about it that takes me back to being a kid and, as the big day approaches, my excitement builds and I start counting sleeps (not very mature, I know, but who cares right?). Favourite things #3: running apps

favourite thingsEarlier this week, I wrote about my new found love for running.  And when I say new, I mean very new, in that I’ve only been doing it for four weeks.  Perhaps it’s not as odd as I first thought that I enjoy it as I used to do long distance and cross country running at school.  It isn’t like this is the first time I have tried running again though in the 30-ish years since I last donned my trainers properly.  It’s just the first time it seems to have stuck.
The reason – running apps – and this whole idea of going from “couch to 5K” in eight weeks.  Whilst I know they won’t be for everyone, they have worked for me.  There are a lot out there, and I feel like I’ve tried them all, well at least the free ones (because I’m cheap!).  Three have stood out and I thought I would share them here for anyone who, like me, needs a little motivation to get out there… Continue reading “Favourite things #3: running apps”

Favourite things #2

favourite things
I am an eternal collector of things – material and otherwise – and constantly on the search for new experiences, small and large.  Often, I become slightly obsessed and things become my “favourites” until something else comes along to obsess about.  Every now and then I thought it would be fun to share these favourites (I last did it at the end of August) – and maybe you can let me know what you are loving right now too – so I can find my next obsession?
So, what am I loving? Continue reading “Favourite things #2”

Favourite things

One of the things I know I love when I’m discovering a new blog is finding out more about the blogger themselves, who they are, what they like, and what makes them tick.  Figuring I’m not the only one and knowing that my about page is short and sweet (as was my welcome post), I thought it might be fun to share a little bit more about who I am and what I love – to help you get to know me.  Given my magpie nature, the loves could end up being a lengthy list, so I thought I’d start with five for today and maybe share some more later down the line…if you think they are interesting enough that is!
So, without further ado, here are a few of my favourite things right now… Continue reading “Favourite things”
