I wrote a while ago about the benefits of breakfast and how I had started to try and mix up my breakfast routine. That included making smoothies, my favourite of which was a chocolate peanut butter one. Recently, it’s had competition in a raspberry and banana smoothie that seems to go with the lighter mornings and sunshine that (occasionally) comes through the kitchen window. It feels fresher than the chocolate and peanut butter smoothie and – dare I say it – a little bit healthier.
If this appeals, here’s what you’ll need to make two smoothies…
- 1 medium to large banana
- 125g raspberries
- 1 small avocado
- a handful of toasted oats / muesli (optional)
- 150 ml natural yoghurt
- 150 ml almond milk
- 1 cup of ice
- 2 tsps. of agave
Then, you’ll need to…
Put it all in a blender and blend until all the ingredients are mixed together.
And that’s it. Not the most original maybe but it’s very easy and very tasty and makes breakfast just a little more interesting.
