My Sunday Photo: And They Say It's Grim Up North…

I feel so lucky to live less than 20 minutes from the sea (one day I’ll get closer). The nearest to us is one of those seaside towns that isn’t, unfortunately, as glorious as it once was but it’s a lovely small town and the sand is lovely and clean so, for me, it can’t be beat…

My Sunday Photo: Castle Guards

So I’ve finally gotten round to swapping over all the photos from my old laptop to my new one (it’s only been four months!).  While I was I came across this one – though I have no idea where it came from.  I was obviously playing with taking a photo in black and white and filters on my photo app but I quite liked it.  Anyone got any idea where it was taken?

My Sunday Photo: Sunny morning walks

As long as it isn’t raining, I try to get out for a walk.  When I have time, I head off the pavements and into the fields by my house.  There are always great views but it does help when it’s sunny…

My Sunday Photo: Whitby on a cold but sunny-ish day

I don’t need it to be summer to go to the seaside. I love to go any time of year, rain or shine or when the clouds start to roll in. My favourite seaside town is Whitby and we go there a lot. This is my favourite view from up near St. Hilda’s church.

“This is to my mind the nicest spot in Whitby, for it lies right over the town, and has a full view of the harbour and all up the bay to where the headland called Kettleness stretches out to sea.” — Bram Stoker, Dracula
